How did Charitable You get started?
Charitable You was founded by a group of people that realized that fund-raising was considered a chore, by most, and ultimately it resulted in someone or some organization writing a check for the cause. At Charitable You, we want fund-raising to be fun for everyone involved. We want to stop the cycle of write a check, write another check and oh Yeah, one more check please.
A short story...
When we first got started we went through the exercise of looking in our own homes for items we can donate to a cause. What amazed us, was the number of items we found that had little or no use to us anymore that had a value and use to others. We found old blackberrys and other smartphones, handbags, designer jeans, sporting equipment, sunglasses, shoes, and lots of woman's fashion accessories (thanks to our wives).
As we started to list the items on eBay, that is where the fun began. People from all over the world began to bid on our items and soon we were shipping to all parts of Asia, Europe, and Latin America as well as Canada and the US. Literally, our customers were helping local charities from all parts of the world.
We realized after our first event, that creating a company that allows others to help charities without having to ask for money is the BEST way to raise money. So Charitable You has put the FUN back into FUNd-raising.
Types of Events we support:
The best thing about Charitable You is the "YOU". We are completely flexible and will custom design events that meet the needs of our customers.
- Fund-raising Campaigns - These programs are active for a specific period of time (i.e., 3-weeks)
- Single Focus Events - These programs are usually specific to a single cause and marketed to patrons and members that results in a product drive on a specific date (i.e., Sports Teams, Clubs)
- Supplemental Programs - These programs are tied to an existing event (i.e., Silent Auction, GALA, Golf Outing)
Simply put, we can help you if you are a big or small, organization or individual. Our goal is to help you find a way to support your cause.
